Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi still seem trapped in a political world that no longer exists,,, in a world where just the Gandhi/Nehru surname alone unquestioned power, influence, respect and loyalty.
The political reality of India has changed dramatically in the last couple of decades, but it feels like that realisation has still not fully dawned on them.
Politics today is ruthless, hyper-competitive and unforgiving. Thousands of young leaders fight fiercely even for the smallest positions of power…
But the Gandhi siblings often appear casual about an opportunity that comes once in a generation.
Sonia Ji endured enormous pressure, setbacks and humiliation, yet kept the party alive for years. In contrast, the siblings inherited the largest political legacy in India but never fully transformed it into a clear vision, strong organisation, or decisive leadership. Never worked even to retain what they inherited, let alone building it up..adding more layers, bringing in the new standards, working hard to leave a legacy for their future generations.
The tragedy for others aspiring to leadership positions is the lack of opportunities, and for the siblings, it is a wasted opportunity.
Rahul Gandhi still has time to redefine his legacy, contribute meaningfully to the country and be remembered as a leader who brought positive change. But that requires moving beyond entitlement, breaking free from echo chambers and understanding the aspirations and anxieties of ordinary Indians at the ground level.
Politics does not forgive stagnation. History remembers those who adapt.

BJP is now a mature, hungry and ambitious party with a mission and vision, and it hunts politically with patience, precision and strategy. And sadly, Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi often seem to walk straight into the narrative traps laid out for them.
The siblings were raised in an environment of extraordinary protection: secure homes, layers of security, controlled access, and insulated political circles. Perhaps because of that, they never truly experienced the rough survival instincts that politics demands at the ground level…
Modern politics is not sentimental. It is ruthless. Every weakness is studied, every mistake amplified, and every hesitation exploited.
At times, one feels sad not just for them, but for India itself. A strong democracy needs a strong and credible opposition. Without meaningful checks and balances, even the strongest governments can slowly become arrogant, disconnected or unchecked.
Democracy works best not when one side destroys the other, but when both government and opposition push each other toward accountability, performance and better governance.
