Time is shrouded by mystery
in vain, trying to unlock,
unearth dreams and hopes
failed attempts to lift the veil

and see the distant future
life anticipating only love and care
but time has its own designs
bringing the ugly past to the forefront
making unjust demands
punishing and rewarding
for the long forgotten deeds

gruelling to interpret
the strategies of time
ruling both life and death
taking away the liberty to choose
banishing our will
imposing its rule

i ask you nothing else
but for bringing an order
in your unjust strategies
be rational, legal and logical
in your retribution and recompense
that's the only demand i make
